OS Tigers Futsal Tryouts 2023/2024 Competitive Season

• Who:  All players born 2011-2015
• When: Sunday, October 29th  &  November 5th (make-up), 2-5pm
• Where:  Exact location and tryout time will be determined by players’ birth year
• Registration required. Deadline Wednesday, October 25th

Depending on tryouts we plan to form teams in various age groups.  The roster per team will be limited to a total of max. 8-10 players in an effort to keep teams small and maximize each player's development.   Therefore, we are selective and will only pick the best and most suitable players for these teams and program with the idea to build teams that can compete at the highest level nationally & internationally.   

A futsal team is comprised of four outfield players (Fixo, R. & L. Alas, & Pivot) and one goalkeeper (no offsides rule in Futsal).  So we are looking for 1-2 GKs and 6-9 max.  outfield players per team.  Selection of players will be announced within a week of tryouts.  Fees will be determined once roster and # of players are final.  When you are selected you will need to accept the offer, complete your registration package and submit fees to secure your spot by the deadline November 10th. 

Why Futsal?

Futsal is played in all parts of the world on all continents by over 100 countries with millions of players at all ages.  Soccer legends such as Pele, Zico, Ronaldinho, Messi, Kaka, Katia, Neymar, and Ronaldo grew up playing the game and credit futsal with developing their skills.  Futsal being one of the fastest growing indoor sports in the country is a fantastic tool for athletes' development because it places a large emphasis on technical skill in high pressure situations, forces them to think fast, pass accurately, and play intelligently which can be translated into the outdoor game.  The sport is a great skill developer and will give your player an edge over their competition without interfering with club soccer.   Also, due to the non-stop, fast play on a small field 5v5 it is an exciting game not only to play but to watch as well.
